Information for Participants

Hi and Welcome to the "Pregnant with Hope" Web Questionnaire. Your help in filling out this form is greatly appreciated. If you have not been specifically directed to this website but would like to still participate I would be very grateful. The only criteria is that you are currently pregnant or trying to conceive. All responses are anonymous unless otherwise indicated by you.


This study has been approved by the Australian National University Human Research Ethics Committee, Protocol 2003/240.

Data collected from this survey may be used in the preparation of my doctoral thesis.

When you see pictures of pregnant women in magazines or on television, how does it make you feel?
In ancient, classical and biblical literature and art pregnancy and the theme of hope are closely linked. Is pregnancy a good 'symbol of hope' for humanity or society today? What sort of images of would signify 'hope' best in your opinion?
