Edited by Linda Rasmussen, Valerie Spear and Dianne Tillotson and published by Merton Priory Press, Cardiff, November 2002. The book was launched on Dr John Tillotson's 60th Birthday - 13 December 2002. Dr Linda Rasmussen and Dr Val Spear, both former PhD students of John, opened the formalities, handed over the long-awaited book and introduced the main speakers. Dr Frank Lewins, head of Social Sciences, spoke warmly of the Tillotson contribution to scholarship during over thirty years of service, as did Dr John Knott and Mr Bill Craven, both of whom had known John for many years as colleagues in History, which now functions as part of the School of Social Sciences. Dr Dianne Tillotson, John’s wife, projected images from the web site which she designed to complement the book, and commented briefly on some of its features. This site located on http://arts.anu.edu.au/medievalheritage/ provides abstracts of the articles in the collection, together with several colour images to accompany selected texts. |
