BRIAN GARRETT

Lecturer in Philosophy
Australian National University

My first degree in Philosophy was from the University of St. Andrews (1983). I then obtained the B.Phil (1985) and D.Phil (1988) at Oxford University. The topic of my B.Phil thesis was the Sorites Paradox; the topic of my D.Phil was Personal Identity. I have published in the areas of epistemology, philosophy of mind, metaphysics, and Wittgenstein. I was a QEII Fellow from 1992 to 1997, and I have recently completed a book on issues to do with Personal Identity (issues metaphysical, ethical, and semantic).
