1) Exercises that involve choosing neumes from a list

As in the above diagram, each of the 10 exercises inherit the object ncAppletTemplate. Approximately 90% of the code for these exercises is contained in this module. The exercise modules take care of graphical details that are specific to particular exercises and display the correct instructions and feedback for the student's interaction.

On a slow internet connection, the first download of one of these exercises normally takes between 10 and 30 seconds. However, if the ncAppletTemplate module is cached, the download time for the other exercises is usually less than 5 seconds.
