Joseph LUSH was born in 1726; Although he was married in Stourton in 1750, the LUSH family does not appear in Kilmington until 1762, so he was unlikely to be born there. However, there was much non-conformity in the family and he may have been an early convert. He was not found in the Non-Conformist Records now available.

There was a LUSH family in Shaftesbury, including a Joseph LUSH baptised in 1726, but he was buried in August 1726.

From Dorset OPC, John LUSH of Motcombe had children baptised in Shaftesbury : Joseph in 1733 and Sarah in 1745. Perhaps our Kilmington pair?
