Poor Law Records dated 5 April 1804 of Stourton, Wiltshire, England provide the following information about Thomas DRAPER: Thomas and Phania CREW. Removal from Gasper to St Philip & Jacob, Gloucester. Children of William CREW and his wife Charlotte. About 12 or 13 years ago, William CREW married Charlotte EDWARDS in Stourton. At about the end of 1796 or beginning of 1797 William CREW died. Thomas then aged about 4 years. Charlotte CREW, the widow, was removed to Gloucester, but a few weeks later she returned to Stourton to stay with her mother and was delivered of a daughter who was christened in the name of Phania. This was about 5 or 6 months after the death of William CREW. Thomas DRAPER then married Charlotte CREW in August 1800. Ann EDWARDS, widow, is the grandmother of the children. Charlotte died about a year ago. Sarah CREW of St Philip & St Jacob in Gloucester received half a crown a week for Thomas and Phania CREW for two years.4
