Other information; A summons was issued on 1 Aug 1849 for Charlotte TOOGOOD in the Hindon Division Out of Sessions courts, for being the mother of a child born out of wedlock. The compaint was abandoned. The 1851 census index was checked and this woman #1045 was the only Charlotte TOOGOOD of remotely the right age in England, and of course she lived in the Hindon Division of Wilthshire. I am guessing that the order might have been in relation to her husband being away for a long time - there was a big gap between the first and second child. It might be worth investigating this, if only out of curiosity.
