Prizes
First: $1500, Second: $850, Highly Commended: $400

  • Entries must be postmarked by the last day of the competition, 23rd September.
  •  The competition is only open to residents of Australia. Prior to entry, entrants must not have produced more than 20 minutes of professionally accredited footage.
  •  First and second prizewinners will be announced at a screening at the National Museum of Australia on Friday 25th November 2005. Highly Commended and supplementary prizes will also be announced on the night.
  •  In the lead up to the competition screening ABC TV will consider short listed finalists for viewing on its ACT Stateline program. ABC TV will also consider viewing the competition winner on ACT Stateline at a date following the competition prize announcement.

The judges will be:

Bob Connolly - internationally renowned documentary filmmaker
Helen Simondson - Australian Centre for the Moving Image
Catherine Summerhayes - Film Studies Program and Centre for New Media Arts, ANU
