The main purpose of this slide test is to encourage you to revise some of the material covered this semester. To help you focus on this revision I have selected 60 images which highlight some of the themes and methodological concerns discussed in lectures and tutorials and which are now available on the internet and in hard copy printouts distributed in lectures.
The slide test will consist of two sections and exam script books will be provided.
Section One. You will be shown ten slides which will be on the screen for approximately one minute each. You will be asked to identify each slide as fully as possible - name of artist, title of work, medium and the date.
Section Two. There will be two pairs screened for twenty minutes each pair and you will be asked a specific question drawn from some of the key concepts discussed in class. You must provide a full identification for each of the two slides, but in your answer you may concentrate on just one slide, or attempt a comparison or examine both images.
Assessment
| Section One (ten questions @ 5% each) | 50% |
| Section Two (two questions @ 25% each) | 50% |
| Total value for the slide test for Pass and Graduate students |
20% |
