Matthew Spriggs |
Professor Matthew Spriggs has research interests in Pacific and Southeast Asian Archaeology, British Post-Roman Archaeology and Cornish Studies. His current field research projects include multi-year projects in Vanuatu in the South Pacific and the Aru Islands in Eastern Indonesia. He is also researching aspects of Cornish language history. |

Robert Attenborough |
Research interests include Human population biology, including demography, malaria epidemiology,
nutrition and growth, environmental adaptation, anthropological genetics, and Biosocial anthropology. |

Peter Bellwood |
Research interests include Archaeology and prehistory of SE Asia and
Oceania, agricultural origins and dispersals on a world-wide comparative
basis, correlations between the archaeological record and that of the major
agriculturalist language families. Current field research is in the
Moluccas, eastern Indonesia. Secretary and Editor of the Indo-Pacific
Prehistory Association. |

Research interests include the archaeology of culture contact, Australian archaeology, community-based archaeology, gender and archaeology, Cultural Heritage Management & archaeobotany. |

Colin Groves |
Research interests include Human Evolution, Primates, Skeletal Analysis, Techniques in Biological Anthropology, Ethnobiology and Domestication.

Ursula Frederick |
Ursula recently completed a Masters (Research) degree and is currently
based in the Department conducting research on the rock art of Groote
Eylandt. Her MA is an investigation of rock art production over the course
of early Aboriginal - European contact in central Australia. Ursula's
particular research interests include Aboriginal art and visual culture and
the rock art & archaeology of cross-cultural exchange.

Graduate of the Dept., now a PhD student at University of Southampton, U.K. on a Commonwealth Scholarship. Fieldwork funded by a grant from the AIATSIS. |
